‘Hami jasto kohi chaina’

‘There is no one quite like us‘.

From our very first Intake of Gurkha soldiers at our Regiment’s formation in 1958 to the present day, The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment proudly serves in the very highest traditions of the British Army and the Brigade of Gurkhas.

Welcome to The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment Association: your Regimental Family’s connection between those who serve today, our veterans and their families, and where the good and benefit of our capbadge is both our honour and our responsibility.

The Role and Purpose of the Association.

The Association was founded in 1962 as ‘The Gurkha Army Service Corps Association‘, changing with Regimental re-titling throughout the years, and known today as ‘The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment Association‘.

The primary aim of the Association remains true to that for which it was conceived: to keep those who have served with The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment in touch with those still serving, Gurkha and British officers and soldiers, and for its membership to play their full part in the activities of the Gurkha Brigade Association. Becoming a registered charity in 1996, the responsibilities of the Association have grown to deepening esprit de corps, comradeship, the welfare of the Regiment and the preservation of its traditions: our ‘Kaida’. Further, alongside support to  education and charitable works, the Association has a deep commitment to the Gurkha Welfare Trust for the relief of serving and former-serving Regimental members, and their dependents, who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. The Association works hand in glove with fellow Regimental organisations including the QOGLR Regimental Association Nepal (RAN), the Ex-QOGLR Serviceman’s Association (UK) and the Hong Kong Ex-Serviceman’s Assocation (HKESA).

Huge congratulations to LCpl Ashbin Gurung, who has been awarded Top Student on the LCpl ALDP, delivered by the 13 AASR Training Wing.

Throughout the course, LCpl Ashbin consistently demonstrated excellent leadership, strong teamwork, and a high standard of performance. He excelled in both the classroom and field phases, proving himself to be a reliable, competent, and dedicated junior commander.

A thoroughly well-deserved achievement — well done, LCpl Ashbin.

While serving in BFSAI, a committed team of eight soldiers from the British Army and RAF, supported by two civilian colleagues, successfully completed the Eleven4Eleven Challenge—11 consecutive days of 11 km loaded marches carrying 15 kg, covering a total of 121 km. The challenge was undertaken in honour of the courage and sacrifice of those who serve, their families, and all who support the nation in times of need.

Through exceptional teamwork and resilience, the group proudly raised £1,302 for the Army Benevolent Fund (ABF). Representing 10 QOGLR were A/Sgt Umit Rai (36 Sqn), A/Cpl Sandesh Rai (31 Sqn), and Pte Shashash Roka (1 Sqn)—a testament to the dedication and spirit of our soldiers.
